Italian Butter Cake


288gm all purpose flour
350gm cups sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 sticks unsalted butter (room temperature)
1 cup full fat sour cream
4 eggs room temperature
1 T. vanilla
Optional ( flavorings  listed above)

Sift all dry ingredients:  Cream your butter and Sugar.  Add eggs continue to beat until creamy and lighter in color.  Add sour cream and then flour mixture.  Add vanilla. Bake, cool  and remove from pan.  Sift a generous amout of powder sugar over cake.  This cake taste even better as it ages.
